Admiring a TEACHER
I don't know how to start this, but let me set it this way.
Our section had an issue with a teacher in our Campus. We are complaining for her attitude and the way she's teaching and for that we don't want her to teach us anymore and we are wishing to replace her by some other teacher. So we made an action and decided to make a letter that will be pass to our Campus Dean for she can hear our sentiments. Days passed by, and Dean call the attention of the said teacher, she questioned her why are we complaining about those kind of issues and the teacher got shocked, 'cause for her she was just doing her job. You may asked why we got mad on her style of teaching and her attitude, and the answer is IMMATURITY. We all act like preschoolers who are very sensitive. There are simple things that we make big things, there are meaningless words that we inserted meanings, and all of these are misunderstanding and misinterpretation.
This day, the teacher that we complained made the issue clear and made us realized our faults for being too much judgmental. We judged her very fast without considering the other side of her personality, we've been very unfair to her, we made wrong decision in complaining her 'cause we don't understand the real meaning of her actions, all we see is her mistakes. We do not see her effort for helping us to be a better person, for disciplining us, for correcting our mistakes.
Now I know that she is very dedicated to her profession because of her eagerness to teach students. She love her countrymen and despite of her looks she was a great teacher. A very talented and intelligent one. The way she discipline her students was great it is just that students misinterpret the actions of their teachers in terms of correcting their mistakes.
Lessons learned = We should not be judgmental to those people that we first met, we should know them deeper before commenting on their attitudes. Physical appearance is far different from the inside and we must value the things that other people do for us.
I just want to say that from now on, I admire you ma'am for being strong and being a positive person in all things. It's a great pleasure to meet a person like you. Thanks for all the lessons you have shared.
